The HillVille is the online magazine of urban Appalachia featuring stories, columns, and profiles of people and places, that explore the mountain and metropolitan connection. They contacted me to develop a logo for use on their website, a social avatar for use on Facebook and Twitter, and a Business Card. They offered some great guidance and described their vision for the logo as “contemporary, streamlined, clean, serious and smart, yet fun, engaging, but not earnest or stuffy.” I loved this description! I worked on some initial concepts and color palettes which evolved into the final product. They received numerous complements on the new logo and everyone was really happy with the result.
